Making a Final Exit |
On This Page |
Final disposition is a legal term for a very practical matter: how a body is disposed of after death. While there are many variations described below, presently in Arizona there are essentially three options: burial, flame cremation, and alkaline hydrolysis. Families may make all of the arrangements themselves (for burial only). AZ families must hire a funeral director to assist with arranging cremation and cremation-qualified dispositions, such as alkaline hydrolysis. This page provides the information you need to “Do It Yourself”. (See How to Work With Professionals for tips on getting what you want from professionals.)
